I love Mia Goth, but Maxxxine not so much

Before you read, SPOILER ALERT DUHH!

I’ve never really been into scary movies; my anxiety is crazy and I still struggle to watch the ghastly supernatural kind cause that shit is real and I already cover my mirror at night! But A24’s Pearl (2022) and X  (2022) were such artful slasher films, and Mia Goth truly is such a fucking star, that I began thinking to myself “hey, maybe I do like scary movies!” As long as they’re done tastefully.

Last October I started braving the horror film genre and after seeing the first two X movies I found myself searching for movies I never would’ve watched before, like Suspiria (1977), Scream (1996), and The Witch (2015) to name some of my faves. I’m no film critic or horror expert, obviously, but I was a bit disappointed by the third and last installment in Ti West’s X film series.
